Ensure the Orchard radio button is selected as below:

Perennial Crop Setup

When setting up perennial Crops and Crop varieties, go to Cropping Module -> Configuration -> Crops, then click the Add button then create the new crop and ensure the Is Perennial tick box is ticked.

Also note, if you use harvest units that are not standard (I.e. boxes, crates, trays and bins etc) then ensure the Uses Special Harvest Units tick box is ticked.

Then under each Crop, enter the Varieties as for example the Avocado Hass variety, and set the purchase units and planting units as Plant for each tree.

For Special Harvest Units, go to the Harvest Related Items -> User Defined Harvest Units and click the add button

...and enter the special harvest unit details. In the example below we create a "Tray" unit in which is measure by each one tray unit equals 5.5 Kilograms:

Setting Up Perennial Rows

Go to System Setup and select a paddock or field which contains perennial crops and go to the Field Layout Information tab and click add to add

In the below example, we are setting up an Orchard for Avocados, note we need to include Row spacing and Plant Spacing when we setup the actual rows by clicking the add button:

In the example above, we enter 8 rows total, with a section number which is used to divide the area, which is most useful if you have more than one crop type in the paddock or field.

Row number prefix is optional but useful when used in tangent to Section number.
