Our advice is to record the planting information (and fertilizer and chemical information) in one record as you don't want to have 2 discrete areas set up for one effective planting event.
... and if the machinery costing is based on a Per Hour basis, simply add the two different machinery operations into the same job entering in the relevant hours for each machine
If the machinery is costed on a per Unit of Area basis, record the machinery operations in two other records.
Why 2? Because the worked areas will be different for each machine.
