Perennial Data Entry by Row

For permanent plantation tree or vine crops you have the option to enter data on a row by row basis.
This article shows you the steps to achieve that.
Step 1
Enable data entry by row: If you didn't enable this option when you initially set up your business unit Cropping Module Options, navigate to System Setup > Organization > Business Unit, edit the business unit and locate the option highlighted below.

Step 2
Having added a new block in System Setup and having drawn or imported the block boundary as shown below ...

...select the Block Layout Information tab to enter the block layout details

Enter the block cop information.
Note that new Clones, Rootstocks & Planting Types can be added on-the-fly as you set up each block. Those details are optional.
Planting Name or Code can be whatever you like, but it is a required field.
As we are going to be setting up all the individual rows (using the highlighted Add button), there is no need to enter the Area. agCommander will calculate the area using the row details (i.e. Row Lengths X Row Spacing)
Note that it is displaying No. of Emitters: Using Vine Count. That is due to the irrigation settings under System Setup > Organization > Business Unit has been configured to use Tree or Vine counts for emitter counts).
The Vintage (or Season) Established and Retired fields are used to ensure each current block is included (or excluded) for selection when entering records for blocks.
Enter Row Spacing and Plant Spacing distances. Note that I have left Row Length as zero. Row lengths will be set up in the Row Details section below.
Step 3
ROW DETAILS
If your block layout is a rectangle or triangle, or if it is a series of sections that are neat rectangles or triangles, then you are advised to use the "Auto" option for setting up the row details.
If your block layout is a very irregular shape you are advised to use the "Manual" option for setting up row details.
Having set up the base crop and layout information & having chosen either "Auto" or "Manual", click on the Add button.
I have chosen "Auto"

For my block I will be using 2 sections. Section 1 has 93 row all with lengths of 194 yards and it is a rectangle so the length of the first row is the same as the length of the last row. In the example above I am using a Prefix of "EL-" and a Postfix of "-S' on my Row numbers but if your row numbering system uses neither a prefix or a postfix simply ignore those fields.
If the block section was a triangle, I would enter a Length of First Row of say 10 yards and a Length of Last Row of 194 yards. agCommander will automatically calculate the length of all other rows using geometry.
Once the details have been entered, click "Fill"
Note: I actually removed the example Prefix & Postfix prior to clicking on "Fill"
So now I have my Section 1 set up. Note the Edit & Delete buttons on each row. If you need to fine tune any details for any of the rows you can do that. See image below of the Edit popup window

Now to set up Section 2
