Zooming
There are two ways to zoom in on the map. Zooming in allows you to focus on a smaller area of the map.
Method 1 : using the PLUS button in the bottom right corner of the screen
Method 2 : double clicking the LEFT mouse button
To zoom to a specific layer, see instructions below.
Zooming Out
Method 1 : using the MINUS button in the bottom right corner of the screen
Method 2 : double clicking the RIGHT mouse button
If you want to zoom out to the full scale view the quickest way to do this is to click your left mouse button on the “Return to View” button on the toolbar.

Zoom to a Layer
To zoom to a specific layer, first choose that layer by clicking on its name and the tick box, as shown here...

A layer is selected when you see this display on your screen... The layer name and a bright green background

... now, with a layer selected, the "Zoom to Layer" button becomes enabled and by clicking on that button, tha map will zoom into your chosen layer, showing all objects on that layer

Panning Around the Map
There is just one way to pan around your map and that is to click on the map then hold down your LEFT mouse button and drag the map in the required direction.
If you want to pan to a specific layer, or return to a view having moved away from the currently selected view, see the article: Navigating Around the Map - Zooming In and Out
