Merging Replicated Consumable List Items

How to tidy up your lists of chemicals, fertilizers and Sundries

Sometimes by accident you can have two or more chemical names or fertilizer names that are in fact the same item. To solve that problem we have a button in the configuration area of consumables in agCommander with the label: "Merge Items Remove Duplicates"

When this facility merges duplicate items into your selected source item, it first replaces all instances of the source items in your job records, and if applicable: your inventory records, your tank mixes, your batch number tracking records, your input cost table

... before finally removing those source items from your list.

The example below shows Glyphosate CT 450 as the name I want to retain (destination) and I have clicked on the check box of 5 badly spelled Glyphodates that I want to get rid of.

PLEASE NOTE: It's possible that you might even have two names that are identical. If you have that problem and are not sure whether or not to select the destination item in the source items list ... fear not. You can select your destination item name in the source item names list. The selected destination item will not be removed.

When clicking on the Save button, you will see this confirmation message ...  The message looks pretty scary ... but the process works and is relatively simple.

The message is there to give you a chance to re-check what you have ticked and selected.
