Adding agCommander Staff and Users for Jobs

A User with Administrator privileges can set up the agCommander staff and/or users.

You can access Organization Staff and Associates from System Setup or directly from the main toolbar as show above. You add all your staff into this list and for those who you want to grant access to enter data or view reports etc. you create an account.

Click on the “Add” button and enter the details.

To Create An Account

The email address is essential if you want to grant them access as is their password which you enter by clicking on the “Create Account” option.

Users can change their password later if they want to. That is done via the "User Actions" menu button in the top right corner of the program. 

Once you have set up the user's password, Save the record... then Edit the record again and assign their roles and permissions. 

For those of your staff and associates with an account, you need assign permissions as required. If you just want the person to view reports, choose none of the permissions ... except maybe "View Financials" 

From the Staff and Associates list, click the dollar sign icon to edit costs (or salary)

You should now see a Input Costs dialog where by pressing the Add button, you can enter the salary and starting date for a staffer or contractor.

When adding a machine operation to a job, a dialog will appear with a list of Staff or Contractors which can be allocated to the Machine Operation.

The same occurs with Manual Tasks in which if a Operator or Personnel is selected, their cost will be displayed next to them as below:

When setting up the duration of a Task or Job (I.e. Hours), upon selecting a contractor or personnel, the default number of hours is automatically set, though it can be changed.

The thing to keep in mind is that the hours worked by a contractor or personnel cannot exceed the Hours set for the job.
