Adding a Layer

Click on the Layer Group in which you want to add your layer. See above, I have selected my newly created Layer Group called "Mt. Bungle Station"

Select "New Layer" to display the Layer Form.

You will need to choose the Object Type: Polygon | Line | Circle | Point or Label

You will need to give your layer a name.

Thereafter, the options on the form are there to set default colours and label sizes and label angle to the object that you will be adding to the new layer.

These options, called "Attributes" can be set as you create each map object on the layer, object by object, and also by editing the layer and applying a blanket update across all objects on the layer later using "Edit Layer", so don't worry if you don't fully appreciate the consequences of those settings when you create the layer.

Click Save when done to see your new layer appear under the selected Layer Group
